Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Fitter with experience maintaining and inspecting industrial equipment, undertaking planned preventative maintenance and breakdown reactive defect maintenance.Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Fitter

  • Monday-Friday Days (Occasional Paid Callouts / Overtime)
  • £45,686 per annum + bonus & benefits
  • Combined waste and heat power plant in Stallingborough.
Please Note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UKPAPREC GROUP recycling and energy recovery specialists, with 16 million tonnes of waste to be recycled, through a network of more than 280 sites. It has 12,500 employees and a turnover of 2 billion. We design, build, and operate thermal, organic and materialtreatment facilities, reducing CO2 emissions.About the RoleJoining our maintenance team, you will undertake hands on maintenance tasks and also be involved in the planning of maintenance and overseeing contractor activity.Working with the team to deliver proactive maintenance strategies in accordance with environmental and safety procedures, to deliver reliable, efficient operation of the energy from waste process.You will have completed an apprenticeship or recognised training programme with experience maintaining conveyors, pumps, fans, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.Your duties will include:
  • Undertaking planned preventive maintenance
  • Resolving equipment breakdowns
  • Carrying out diagnostic inspections and adjustments.
  • Undertaking continuous improvement projects
  • Assisting in the planning of shut down work.
  • Overseeing contractor activity.
  • Writing / reviewing risk assessments.
  • Issuing permits.
About youIdeally you will have experience working in an industrial or process environment.
