Job Description

Interim Financial Accountant –Stallingborough -up to £45,000Chase & Holland are proud to once again be working with this forward thinking, market leading manufacturing business based in Stallingborough to recruitment aFinancial Accountanton an interim6 month contract. Reporting into the Site Controller,this role is a fantastic opportunity to play an integral part of this friendly financial accounting team within a highly reputable and respected international company.In return:

Responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the preparation of trial balance, profit & loss and balance sheet analysis, sales analysis, VAT prep & returns and general ledger reconciliations
Assisting with analysing the financial statements on a monthly basis and report variances including revenue & expenses analysis
Preparing and reviewing the general ledger accounts and making necessary journal entries which include monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
Processing and posting journal entries for routine transactions whilst ensuring accuracy of the general ledger
Ensuring that provision for sales rebates and commissions are correctly recorded and monitored whilst including Revenue Recognition adjustments
Providing detailed analysis of all funds repatriated from bank accounts on a weekly & monthly basis and cash in-flows
Involvement in the efficient management of the working capital in relation to accounts receivable, payable and cash
Maintaining and improving internal controls supporting Finance and other departments
Supporting both the internal and external audits

The ideal candidate will be/have:

Qualified Accountant or Part Qualified with sound relevant experience
Great attention to detail
Outstanding communication skills
The ability to question any unusual transactions/ balances
Advanced MS Office skills
