We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated candidate to join the Intelligence team in the Directorate of Strategy, Planning and Performance at Stafford and Surround CCGs, who is willing to go that extra mile and to be part of a successful and effective team.We are a friendly team who work hard to deliver good outcomes for patients; we cover for each other when needed and pride ourselves in our collaborative approach and partnership working.The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent (SSoT) Population Health Management Programme is an exciting programme designed to support the Sustainable Transformation Partnership (STP) and local Integrated Care Systems (ICS) in their transformation and adoption of PHM approaches.We are seeking an experienced, committed and motivated individual to join the Intelligence Team. The post holder will be a senior health analyst within the Directorate of Strategy, Planning and Performance for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Clinical Commissioning Groups (“the CCGs”). Your role will be to work with the Population Health Management programme lead and other stakeholders to develop and deliver the Population Health Management Development Programme. A key part of the role will be to work with key local stakeholders in the area to understand their health needs and provide expertise in the fields of epidemiological data and modelling, health needs assessment, analysis of health data and reviewing health literature.The main duties of the post are:

  • The Senior Health Intelligence analyst will provide specialist health intelligence input in monitoring the health needs of the population and in strategic planning to meet those needs.
  • The post holder will have expertise and experience in application of statistical, analytical and epidemiological methods to a range of health data and comprehensive knowledge and experience of software skills, databases and statistical methods including GIS, software such as R, Stata and SAS.
  • To provide expertise in the fields of epidemiological data and modelling, health needs assessment, population segmentation, risk stratification, impact modelling and in reviewing the health literature.
  • Contribute to the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent PHM development programme by providing expert analysis and analytical advice.
  • To produce, develop and maintain information systems and analytical expertise for key staff and services/directorates to fulfil their functions in terms of health information, health surveillance and data acquisition.
  • To develop and maintain comprehensive health related information as a core function and to plan, project manage and deliver corporate intelligence and insight based projects.
  • Develop and manage the analysis and evaluation of large datasets, population profiling, and risk stratification to support service improvement and delivery and development of short, medium and long term strategies.
  • Provide project management support for data integration, analytics and delivery of the outcomes framework.
  • Responsibility for information management to ensure information analysis functions are appropriate and delivered efficiently and effectively. Proactively work with Information Governance leads to ensure appropriate DSA are developed for the system.
  • Liaise with key regional and national partners engaged in PHM to ensure developments from other areas are cascaded locally.
