Role Responsibilities:

Work with Program & Product Management teams to create high-level specifications.
Developing and supporting protection and control solutions using detailed functional specifications describing algorithms and test plans and model-based design for code generation.
Perform system studies and simulations using appropriate tools to validate Digital Energy algorithms.
Analyse market trends and requirements to propose new developments in Digital Energy products.
Author technical papers and present materials at tradeshows and conferences for innovative products
Provide technical guidance, direction, and training to a new and/or experienced engineers, specialists, technicians, and co-ops when required

Your experience:

The role requires advanced knowledge and experience in Electrical engineering equivalent to Degree level
Advanced experience in power system protection and automation products
Working knowledge of Matlab / Simulink for model design and power system simulation tools such as RTDS. PSCAD or ATP/EMTP.
Past experience in developing applications in the P&C (Protection & Control) market or in a Postgraduate / Research environment
Knowledge or experience of metering, wireless / Ethernet / serial communications applicable to P&C (such as IEC61850, Modbus, DNP3.0 and IEC60870-5-103.
