Role Responsibilities:
  • Work with Program & Product Management teams to create high-level specifications.
  • Developing and supporting protection and control solutions using detailed functional specifications describing algorithms and test plans and model-based design for code generation.
  • Perform system studies and simulations using appropriate tools to validate Digital Energy algorithms.
  • Analyse market trends and requirements to propose new developments in Digital Energy products.
  • Author technical papers and present materials at tradeshows and conferences for innovative products
  • Provide technical guidance, direction, and training to a new and/or experienced engineers, specialists, technicians, and co-ops when required
Your experience:
  • The role requires advanced knowledge and experience in Electrical engineering equivalent to Degree level
  • Advanced experience in power system protection and automation products
  • Working knowledge of Matlab / Simulink for model design and power system simulation tools such as RTDS. PSCAD or ATP/EMTP.
  • Past experience in developing applications in the P&C (Protection & Control) market or in a Postgraduate / Research environment
  • Knowledge or experience of metering, wireless / Ethernet / serial communications applicable to P&C (such as IEC61850, Modbus, DNP3.0 and IEC60870-5-103.
