If so, then please see belowSenior Electrical Design Engineer Stafford £Highly Competitive + Flex Working Huxley Engineering and an Innovative Engineering Consultancy, who specialise in Complex Automation, Software & Electrical Engineering Solutions are looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for their Head Office near Stafford, owing to significant business growth, project pipeline and business expansion.Based in Stafford, the Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of technically complex & challenging projects, overseeing all aspects of system & hardware design (concept - commissioning), takinga hands-on approach in the design specification.This includes management, leadership, development & mentoring of other Electrical Design Engineers, as well as ensuring that projects are delivered on-time, to budget and requirements (customer & regulatory / legislative).Qualification & Experience Required for the Senior Electrical Design Engineer role:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering Discipline (or similar)
  • Prior experience of leading / mentoring / developing other Engineers or looking to step up into a Team Lead position
  • Full design lifecycle experience (FDS & Concept Design (incl. documentation) through to Installation & Commissioning)
  • Experience with CAD software packages
  • Experience of Safety System Design / Functional Safety for highly regulated industries, designing / developing ECI solutions to relevant IEC / technical, regulatory & legislative standards
  • Previous experience designing high-complexity EC&I systems / package for regulated industrial applications that comprise the following:
    1. Electrical Controls Systems (including Control Panel layout, GAs, Detail Drawings & Schematic Design, including interlock diagrams for hardware (HMI, PLC)
    2. Circuit breaker and Cable type sizing specification
    3. Instrumentation
    4. Sensors
Experience of the following would also be desirable:
    1. Safety Circuit design
    2. Remote I/O
    3. Servo drive systems
    4. Industrial communication networks
    5. TUV Safety Certification (or similar) would be of distinct advantage
  • Demonstrate understanding and experience of the project lifecycle
  • Ability to work within a team or independently
  • Articulate and effective communicator capable of working with stakeholders at all levels (both internally & externally)
  • Strong customer focus and ability to forge and build strong customer relationships
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks & projects
