Job Description

Position Overview Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of M&E/civil PPM activities delivered by Interserve engineering teams and specialist sub-contractors/service providers. Also responsible for the welfare, direct management and administrative processes to support employees within the delivery team.ResponsibilitiesProgramme Management

  • Responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive works within area/cluster.
  • Planning and co-ordination of works with management teams and supply chain.
  • Support to incidental works and other new works projects.
  • Ensure that information held on management information system (MIS) is accurate and timely.
  • Employee Management
  • Responsible for the administration and welfare of Interserve employees within the delivery team.
  • Responsible for the performance management, absence management, recruitment, selection and development of staff.
  • Ensure staff are trained to carry out works safely, efficiently and to standard.
  • Networking
  • Liaison with Client representatives and customers.
  • Development of positive working relationships with specialist contractors and supply chain.
  • Budget Management
  • Provide accurate commercial data to ensure works are completed to time and budget.
  • Performance Management
  • Monitor performance and report accordingly.
  • Produce performance measures to ensure that performance indicators, SLA’s and contractual obligations are met if not exceededUse of MIS to produce performance figures against contractual performance indicators.
  • Quality Management
  • Undertake quality audit of works in progress and completed.
  • Support the Continuous Improvement (CI) programme and identify issues to drive forward contract development.
  • Compliance & Fraud
  • Fraud awareness.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, Health & Safety, Quality Assurance & Environment.
  • Be aware of the business continuity plan for the part of the business you work in.
  • Supply Chain
  • Liaise, audit and manage the supply chain.
  • Continuous review and assessment of supply chain partners to meet service needs.
  • What we are looking for
  • Experience in a similar role with a proven track record in the effective management of planned programme of works and reactive works coordinating multi skilled work groups.
  • Excellent people management skills while able to manage sub-contractors and supply chain.
  • Both commercially and financially aware.
  • Fully conversant with current H&S legislation and process management systems.
  • Understanding of asset management information systems together with remote monitoring integrated technology.
  • Experience in the supervision of labour across diverse facilities within a multi-site portfolio.
  • Previous experience working for public service sector client.
  • Valid formal Health & Safety qualification e.g. IOSH.
  • Holder of a full and valid driving licence.
  • Flexible working, will be required to be available on a callout system.
  • Qualified electrical and/or mechanical engineer ( BS7671 qualified, City & Guilds engr, ONC, building services, etc..) or equivalent.
  • City and Guilds in Fitting No. 597 and Gas Arc Welding No. 599 or equivalent.
  • Both commercially and financially aware.
  • IT literate in MS Office.
  • Sets and maintains very high standards of delivery – attention to detail essential.
  • Effectively manages staff performance, provides regular and constructive feedback.
