PrimaryMental Health Worker, Cannock, Band 5Trailblazer Project transforming the Mental Health of Young PeopleWe are delighted to have been successful in our bid to implement one of the countrys new trailblazer Mental Health Support Teams. In collaboration with NHS England and the Department for Education, Mental Health Support Teams will transform the mental health provision and emotional wellbeing support for children and young people in our community.Each team will work within education settings to provide early intervention on mild to moderate mental health issues and provide support to staff in schools and colleges. Teams will also act as a link between local children and young people’s mental health services.Thepost holder will provide assessment and therapeutic intervention to children and young people and their families / carers, as well as supporting teaching staff within educational settings.The post holder will also be key toengaging children and young people in participation activities and willassist in the development of a volunteer programme which may involve young people with experience of mental health services.
