Job Description

Network Engineer / Cisco ACI / Juniper / Junos- Staffordshire - Salary up to £37,440Reed are currently working with one of the largest organisations in Staffordshire who are looking for a new Network Engineer to join a new team.Are you seeking your next challenge, and wanting to be part of a newly formed in-house IT team As a Network Engineer you’ll be part of a major infrastructure migration across to the latest Cisco ISE platform using SDWAN.Network Engineer’s role:

  • Manage the security, capability, availability, and performance of the organisations network infrastructure, firewall and gateway technology
  • Manage relevant incident, configuration, availability, capacity, continuity and release management activities in line with the ITIL framework
  • Provide support for all incidents and calls involving network connectivity
  • Plan and implement resiliency into all network design changes, and mitigate against risk of outages or degraded performance
  • Provide specialist information and/or advice to assist and influence senior colleagues in making significant business decisions
    • Experience/skills you need:
  • Cisco CCNA certified
  • Experience working in a 2nd line network engineer role
  • Juniper Junos experience
  • Familiar with Cisco ACI
  • Firewall configuration knowledge
  • VPN security management
