Job Description

RSR Police is a market leading recruitment business dedicated to supplying experienced practitioners on a temporary, contractual or permanent basis to the Law Enforcement, Cyber Security, Offender Management and Regulatory Services talent markets.RSR Police are currently recruiting for an Intelligence Analyst to join one of their clients to play a pivotal role in producing research and analytical products ensuring that they are fit for purpose in order to inform customers.This is a contract role until March 2021, based in Stafford in an office environment working Monday to Friday. This role pays from £13.15 - £16.04 per hour depending on experience.Main Duties:

  • To research, collate, analyse and disseminate information from a wide range of sources
  • Apply a range of analytical techniques in order to identify important problems, issues and risks as well as establish patterns and trends
  • Utilise effective problem solving skills in order to produce creative and imaginative responses to complex problems exercising the ability to make balanced decisions
  • Employ a range of communication techniques to inform ideas effectively with the ability to explain complex issues in a way which makes them understandable to a range of audiences
  • Produce written reports to assist decision making
  • Prepare and give presentations using appropriate visual aids and techniques to aid understanding
  • Responsible for the quality and security of intelligence used by the organisation through the use of appropriate systems and procedures
  • Accountable for the review, retention and disposal of records in accordance with organisational policy and relevant legislation
  • Essential Requirements:
  • Experience in a confidential and sensitive analytical environment
  • Experience undertaking both qualitative and quantitative data analysis or research work, with the use of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to research and assimilate large volumes of data and intelligence and preparation and production of complex research based reports.
  • Demonstrate an ability to problem solve using analytical techniques
  • Good strong communication skills, including an ability to negotiate and influence
  • Demonstrate high levels of innovation, creativity and flexibility in approach
  • Experience of conducting presentations/briefings outlining findings, results and recommendations
  • Experience of appearing in court and giving evidence
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Confident in planning and prioritising own workload
  • Have knowledge of relevant legislation, (i.e., CPIA, ECHR, RIPA, Data Protection, MOPI)
  • Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy including MS Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Knowledge of the National Intelligence Model (NIM) and the Intelligence Cycle
  • Knowledge of policing systems such as PND and PNC as well as SPIN, Compact, CMS2 and STORM
  • Knowledge of analytical software including i2 and Chorus
