Job Description

Job Title: Head of Commercial FinanceLocation: StaffordBasic salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum + 15% bonus + car allowance + excellent benefitsType: PermanentA multinational and dynamic company with an instantly recognisable brand is recruiting for a Head of Commercial Finance to join their team on a permanent basis. The position has come about due to internal growth and will be taking over a role that is extremelyhigh profile and key to the business making the right commercial business decisions. This role will act as a key business partner to the Commercial Director and the Senior Leadership Team, providing day to day and strategic financial and commercial decisionsupport.Attributes required:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
  • Someone with the technical skills and strategic commercial thinking who can become a Commercial Finance Director for the business
  • FMCG/Retail experience or similar commercial environment preferred
  • Previous commercial finance experience in decision support role is essential - ideally dealing with sales department heads
  • Financial and commercial modelling skills
  • Proven track record of developing teams and company procedures
Responsibilities:
  • Overall Horizontal & Holistic ownership of the Sales Business Units financial plans
  • Operating as the "right hand man" to the Commercial Director providing key insights, support and challenge on day-to-day basis
  • Operating as a key member of the Sales Leadership team providing direction from a controlling perspective
  • Acting as vertical Business Partner to Sales Teams providing financial and commercial decision support and insight to drive the business forward
  • Managing Customer P&Ls
  • Evaluating and developing of individual customer business plans
  • Identifying gaps to targets, identifying options to close the gap (opportunities) and making sound recommendations
  • Analysis of performance vs Exec Forecast
  • Responsible for complete ownership of the Sales Budgeting process
