Job Description

Fire Safety Officer (Specialising in Compartmentation)£28,000Stafford - Parker CourtFull time, fixed term contract for up to 12 months37 hours per weekClosing date: 23rd July 2020Are you looking for a new challengeOur client have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Safety Officer to join them on a full time basis, on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months.You will be supporting the Fire Safety Manager in the delivery of the Groups’ statutory compliance obligations , specifically but not restricted to fire safety management, quality assurance and compliance of fire safety work completed by internal & external compliance service providers .Job requirements

  • Responsible for supporting the fire safety manager in the effective delivery, management and compliance of the Groups’ statutory obligations under both general Health & Safety requirements and more specifically the fire safety regulations.
  • Pre and Post inspections of properties that come under the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order at the instruction of the Fire Safety Manager to ensure full compliance with duties under general Health and Safety requirements.
  • You will also, when required, oversee contractors onsite working practises and service performance of service providers (internally and externally) in line with agreed contracts and KPI’s.
  • You will work closely with colleagues and other key stakeholders in ensuring access is gained to the Groups’ stock requiring periodic servicing and is done so in adherence with the Groups’ policy and procedures on statutory inspections.
    • What our client are looking for:
  • Holder of IOSH Managing Safely qualification
  • Holder of Nebosh General certificate (Fire) in H&S at work
  • Detailed knowledge of ACOP L8 - Legionnaires disease. The control of legionella bacteria in water systems and experience of implementing and managing control policies, procedures and process to conform to the ACOP.
  • You will have experience of working in a Fire Safety, FM or Compliance role having and ideally will have experience of managing all planned servicing and responsive repairs for maintenance contractors covering all areas of Fire safety
  • You will have demonstrable supervisory experience, commercial knowledge and compliance knowledge.
