Financial Reporting AccountantMy client is looking for a ACA or ACCA qualified Financial Reporting Accountant to join them. My client continues to go from strength to strength organically and via acquisitions and have a global presence. Due to this continued growth of the company, an additional head is required to support the group financial reporting, internal audit reviews and annual statutory accounts.The Financial Reporting Accountant will be reporting to the Financial Controller. This a pivotal role, ensuring management accounts and financial results are delivered accurately and in an ambitious, growing Group.The Financial Reporting Accountant will be primarily responsible for:* Adoption and monitoring of financial reporting standards across the group, ensuring accounting policies, controls and procedures are reviewed and updated to facilitate seamless adoption and ongoing control* Preparation, completion and filing of statutory accounts under IFRS and UK GAAP for PLC and subsidiaries* Monitoring the statutory accounts for the groups foreign subsidiaries ensuring differences between local statutory reporting and group reporting are reconciled, clearly documented and managed* Assisting with the management of group leases, including evaluation of IFS16 accounting* Assisting with the review of key customer contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition under IFRS15* Preparation of Financial sections of interim and year end results and announcements* Production of year-end & half-year schedules and files for external auditors (in conjunction with Group Accountant_* Assisting CFO with group legal matters and plc reporting mattersThe successful Financial Reporting Accountant will have the following skills, experience and attributes:* ACA or ACCA qualified accountant, with recent public practice based experience and looking to make their first/ second move into industry.* Strong technical background* Experienced in producing statutory accounts under IFRS International experience* Experienced in applying and interpreting accounting standards* Possess strong communication skills* Articulate and comfortable working at all levels of the business* Demonstrates attention to detail* Ability to work to and meet tight deadlinesBut above all of these you will be a team player and someone who has a sense of humour.
