Job Description

EstimatorTemp to Perm Contract to start ASAP!Location:Stafford ST18Salary:£30,000pa (£15.38ph) Hours of Work:40hrsMonFri Working Hours9.00am4.00pm Job descriptionOur client is a well-known family owned and run business with a base in Stafford. They are a passive fire protection company. They specialise in the supply and installation of fire doors. Fire Barriers. Penetration sealing. Due to growth and expansion, theyare recruiting for a Estimator to join their team.Qualifications/Skills

  • Public Sectormust have experience dealing with public sector contracts / proposals / tenders
  • Background construction experience a bonus.
  • GCSE Grade C or above in Maths, English & Science
  • Full drivers license
  • Good understanding of mathematics
  • Good understanding of methods of construction
  • Good people skills
  • Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans, interpret drawings and ability to scale dimensions
  • Familiar with CAD is desired but not essential
  • SMSTS desired but not essential
Responsibilities - a brief overview to include but not limited to.
  • Pricing up new enquires
  • Conducting site visits for new enquires to familiarise yourself with the project and take dimensions as required
  • Work on tenders and see them through from start to finish
  • Placing orders and general assistance to the site teams
  • Answering calls from clients, suppliers, and other contacts key to the company
  • It would be expected through training the right candidate would be capable of running some of our smaller projects should it be required
