Education Mental Health Practitioner Supervisor, Cannock, Band 6Trailblazer Project transforming the Mental Health of Young PeopleWe are delighted to have been successful in our bid to implement one of the countrys new trailblazer Mental Health Support Teams. In collaboration with NHS England and the Department for Education, Mental Health Support Teams will transform the mental health provision and emotional wellbeing support for children and young people in our community. Each team will work within education settings to provide early intervention on mild to moderate mental health issues and provide support to staff in schools and colleges. Teams will also act as a linkbetween local children and young people’s mental health services. In addition to undertaking therapeutic work with young people and their families, a key element of this role will be to support the professional development of Mental Health Practitioners, through both individual and group sessions and evidence based CBT-informed supervision. This will be a highly creative environment where evidence based interventions and new ideas, ways of working and supporting children and young people are actively encouraged. If you love teaching, both formally and informally, and you are passionate about transforming care for children and young people, please do get in touch - we would love to hear from you and for you to be a part of this exciting project. For more information and a confidential discussion, please contact Rachel Rayner at rachel.rayner@mpft.nhs.uk or Sarb O’Brien at Sarbjit.OBrien@mpft.nhs.uk
