JOB AD:[CONTRACT] Site ManagerDuration: 12 MonthsLocation: StaffordStart Date: ASAPYoull working on Subcontract Management for Offshore windfarm tendersYou shall be responsible for monitoring of all site-based construction and commissioning activities of ACS projects under execution in ERCIS as per GE Quality, Construction & EHS Process and guidelines; and provide Construction engineering to contributeto targeted tenders to support bid management team for ACS tenders in the Area, and will be fully responsible for coordination with customer representatives to ensure client compliance & satisfaction as per the contract.Technical and Construction engineering guidance toward selection of right Construction Contractors Support Execution strategy Analyse Main contract, identify risk and opportunities.Evaluate, De-risk gaps with Subcontracts Responsible for the proposal for the construction SC part of the tender Lead the proposal team to get the required inputs including BOQ, T&Cs, specific construction conditions, Planning in order to secure a completeRFQ Support Sourcing in the construction SC negotiation Responsible for engagement in qualification of selection of installation subcontractors for project scopes of work Responsible for development of the "should cost" estimate on project proposals (ITO)for construction Responsible for support of project schedule sequencing and durations for construction activities during the ITO phase of proposal.Insure open communication lines with Proposal Manager, Sourcing, Tech Tendering, Procurement, PC on either a weekly, biweekly during offer preparation.Support the Proposal Manager in major Client, Team meetings such as Tendering meetings, Tendering Kick off Meetings, Major alignment meetings, etc. as requested by the proposal manager.Provide functional construction management oversight and guidance on EPC projects Responsible to led the risk and opportunity analysis associated to Construction SC activities Quality Management - ensure Construction SC selected for the tender are meetingGE Quality requirement EHS - Ensure Construction SC and Construction plan meets EHS requirement Follow qualification process of SC led by Sourcing Lead lessons learnt from Executed Project in Construction SO to be applied on tenders Provide guidance to sitemanagement to safeguard GE interests and the long-term relationship with the Client Steer a weekly Construction Contractor meeting and reportSkillsCivil/Electrical Engineering and Commissioning experience Health and safety experience, training and qualificationsExperience:Experience of undertaking the role of Construction and/or Commissioning Manager on a large EHV Substation Project.Experience in Construction and Commissioning for Substation Projects in EuropeAdditional preferenceso Safe execution codes and practices, Hazards in operation o Construction Engineering and Management o Commissioning engineering and Management o Subcontract mapping, Scope identification and packaging, RFQ technical o Construction costing, Capex reduction,Risk identifications, Assumptions o Subcontract Management, Coordination, Interfaces o Pre-Construction studies, Construction methods o Site Staffing, Mobilization and Temporary site facilities o Site environmental studies o Site preparation, earthworks, foundations,soils investigations o Building architectural, Building services, Building structural o GIS, 400kv HV Switchgear, Power Transformers, Filters, Valves.o Scada, Controlso Switchover sequencieso Mechanical completion stage, turnover and start-up o Scheduling, Sequencies, Resources planning o Change management o Budget control o Customer relations, Contract terms application
