LGV Driver/Loader x6Salary: £27,484 per annumFull Time: 39 hours per weekBased at Albert Road or Avonmouth Depot, BristolTHE ROLEWorking in the recycling and refuse team, in a crew of three, this role is a physical role and will involve getting in and out of the vehicle to sort and collect recycling materials. Reporting to a Supervisor, the main objective of the role is to drive commercial vehicles safely, load, transport and unload waste and recycling materials. This all needs to be done according to agreed customer requirements, Bristol Waste Company procedures and all external legal requirements.Your duties will include driving and operating vehicles and equipment as required by the company in accordance with the valid licence, experience and training for that vehicle and equipment. Tasks must be done in accordance with company safety procedures and legal requirements. Additionally, you will have to tip the vehicle at designated and approved refuse facility. As well as load and unload waste materials in accordance with Bristol Waste Company’s policy, procedures, training and legal requirements. Experience or ability to undertake regular vehicle checks including oil, water and battery levels as well as physical work involving lifting waste bins or recycling boxes is also essential.The successful candidate will have the ability to understand and complete daily defect sheets, have good verbal communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently.
