Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Care Worker in Weston-Super-Mare and the surrounding area.Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist service users with personal care, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, changing bed linens and laundry.
  • Assisting service users with their medication needs.
  • Assist in the safe handling, transferring, re-positioning and movement of service users.
  • Providing a shopping and or cleaning service if needed by the service user. Spot checks on carers.
  • Conduct staff supervisions.
  • Complete and update service user assessments.
  • Work effectively with Service Users, their families and representatives, other social and health care professionals, managers, and staff from Nursing solutions to deliver high quality homecare services
  • Attend training activities, appraisals, and development meetings.
  • Knowledge of how to recognise abuse and safeguarding procedures
  • To support the manager and deputy manager to implement projects and filter messages to the staff team.

  • Be a team player, flexible with working hours, reliable, and able to work alternate weekends
  • Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check
  • Have a current UK driving licence and have a vehicle available for work purposes
