Job Description

Here, at CrossReach’s Short Breaks service, children and young people enjoy time away from home. Based in our Glasgow hub in Springburn, we have been providing residential care for children & young people (8-18) with learning disabilities and complex needsfor almost 30 years. The children and young people we support have faced more challenges than most. It’s our job to give them for a home away from home by providing a caring and therapeutic environment where our focus is on meeting their needs – whether that be having fun andmaking friends or growing in confidence and developing skills for independence.Which makes this a role with incredible impact. Leading our Short Breaks team, working closely with the Registered Manager, you will create and maintain a positive culture, helping your team to feel valued and supported as they provide high quality care.As such, this is a role for an experienced care professional, preferably with an HNC Social Care and SVQ Level 3/4 qualification and previous experience of supervising staff.Even though CrossReach is one of Scotland’s largest social care organisations with services across the country, we genuinely value the individual. For the children here, that means being treated with respect, whatever the circumstances. For professionalslike you, it means being part of an environment where you can contribute ideas, have your needs recognised and achieve your ambitions. As you support a child’s future, we’ll look after yours, with ongoing training and support for achieving additional qualifications. Youll also receive a range of benefits, including company pension, health cash plan, paid holiday and access to a range ofleisure and retail discounts. If you have any queries regarding this role or our recruitment process, please contact the Recruitment team on .ukAs we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos.
