We are looking for an experienced adult psychotherapist to join our team in North East Glasgow. The post involves carrying out psychodynamic assessment and treatment with people who have complex needs, and is supported in an established clinical team. The work involves a mixture of direct clinical work as well as a teaching and training role in keeping with developing and promoting psychodynamic thinking in the organisation. We are looking for someone with highly developed knowledge of the psychoanalytic theory of human behaviour, development and psychopathology, who has undertaken post graduate training, and has experience of working in a mental health setting. It is essential that you have a Postgraduate qualification and registration with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) or United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as a psychodynamic or psychoanalytic psychotherapist in either group or individual psychotherapy. You should have experience of exercising full psychotherapeutic responsibility for patients’ clinical treatment and experience of assessing patient’s suitability for psychotherapy. You should also have experience of working with patients with a wide range of severe and complex problems. Informal contacts are details below.
