Currently recruiting for a client that has an opportunity for an IT Technician / 1st and 2nd line support engineer.This is an urgent role that is ready to start asap. The job details are below:This role is dealing with a variety of different departments and we need an individual who is professional, polite and has a good telephone manner with good communication skills.The role:Being the first point of contact for staff with IT related problems.Helping staff resolve 1st and 2nd line technical issues.Configuring PC’s (desktop / laptop) and printers for both office based and remote staff.Logging and tracking of IT support issues.Updating and maintenance of IT documentation.Assist the IT Support Engineer Management of the IN house infrastructure.Daily administrator tasks such as server monitoring and fault finding.Assisting the IT team in system implementation and changes required.Management of the IN house infrastructure.Daily administrator tasks such as server monitoring and fault finding.Assisting the IT team in system implementation and changes required.Qualifications and/or Experience (essential)MS Office - 2013 / 2016 · Windows - 7 / 10Software, firmware and driver installation (including OS)Printer setup, configuration, and maintenance.Endpoint anti-virus and security software.Desirable Skills / Knowledge· Windows Server - 2008 / 2012 / 2016Microsoft Exchange - 2010 / 2013 / 2016Active Directory - Group Policy ManagementVirtualisation - Hyper-VComputer Networking - IP configuration / DHCP / DNS / VPNNetwork security - FirewallsAbility to work on own initiative as well as working effectively as part of a team; however, even more importantly is the willingness to adopt a flexible approach to the work undertaken.Demonstrate commitment by regular attendance and efficient completion of all tasks allocated.Carry out duties and responsibilities in compliance with health and safety policies and statutory regulations.Willingness to undertake training and progress personal development.
