Job Description

Job title: IT Platform ManagerLocation: Southwater (Temporarily based from home due to COVID)Salary: competitiveHours: 35Closing date: 10am 6th January 2020We’re looking for an experienced IT Platform Manager with a solid understanding of Salesforce, Web deployment and data loading tools. You’ll play a vital role in sustaining the income and operations of the Society. Are you a confident self-starter that is looking for a new challenge within the charity sector We want to hear from you.What you’ll be doing as an RSPCA IT Platform Manager:

  • Managing the governance and support for Society wide application platforms with focus on Salesforce and web based applications, database administration and integration with 3rd party systems
  • Managing a team of four providing 3rd line support and consultancy for enterprise platforms
  • Overseeing the release management life cycle for enterprise platforms including scheduling, coordination and management of releases
  • Assessing, mitigating and responding to risks, as well as implementing future preventative measures
  • Developing implementation plans for complex requests for change
  • Managing capacity modelling and forecasting activities
  • Acting as the routine contact point between the Society and relevant external suppliers
  • Part of the IT out of hours Escalation Rota with associated remuneration
  • You’ll have:
  • Salesforce Administrator certification
  • Experience managing a team of technical specialists
  • Change and release management experience across a variety of teams
  • Technical understanding of Apex, Visual force, APIs, database management and ETL concepts
  • ITIL Foundation Qualification (Desirable)
  • Demonstrable leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A creative, innovative and ethical approach to developing solutions
