Job Description

An experienced Toolmaker is required to join a well-equipped Toolroom that offers rapid turnaround tooling design and manufacture.Serving the automotive, aerospace, medical, industrial and domestic appliance markets, their expertise encompasses injection moulding, compression moulding, tool making, CAD/CAM design and post moulding operations. As a Toolmaker, your duties will include -

  • Manufacture of high quality multi cavity, unscrewing and mould over tooling
  • Mould tool repair and alterations
  • Using CAD/CAM software (Pro Engineer) linked to CNC equipment
To be successful in the role of Toolmaker, the ideal candidate will -
  • Be a time served / apprentice trained Toolmaker
  • Have a strong background in injection mould tool manufacture, repair, modification and maintenance
  • Have experience of single impression and complex multi-impression hot runner moulds
  • Be capable of ultrasonic welding, laser welding, surface and cylindrical grinding
  • Ideally be experienced with Pro Engineer CAD/CAM Design Software
  • Be capable of manual machining and CNC CAM Programming
