Position: Quantity Surveyor - Stone Masonry SpecialistCompany Overview: Our client stands at the forefront of the stone masonry industry, recognized for expertise in crafting high-quality, tailor-made stone structures. With a dedication to excellence and a track record of successful projects,we are expanding our team and are currently in search of a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join us in delivering unparalleled craftsmanship. Our services encompass a wide range, including but not limited to Brickwork, Restoration, Retrofit, Façade remediation,structural steel, full design packages, Waterproofing stone masonry, and architectural stone.Location: Woodham FerrersResponsibilities:Cost Estimation: Scrutinize project drawings and specifications to produce precise cost estimates for stone masonry projects, taking into account materials, labor, and other relevant factors.Budget Management: Formulate and oversee project budgets, ensuring vigilant control of costs within approved parameters.Tendering: Create and assess tender documents, collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers, and negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing.Contract Administration: Supervise the financial aspects of contracts, including payment applications, variations, and final accounts. Ensure strict adherence to contractual obligations. Risk Management: Identify potential cost-related risksand propose effective mitigation strategies to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery.Quantity Take-Offs: Conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs for stone masonry materials and labor, providing precise data for project planning and procurement.Collaboration: Forge close partnerships with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, offering valuable cost-related advice to contribute to the overall success of projects.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in and Qualified as a Quantity Surveying or a related field.Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the stone masonry or related construction sectors.In-depth knowledge of construction costs, materials, and techniques.Proficiency in relevant software, including Excel, cost estimating tools, and project management software.
