Picture FramerLocation: South Woodham Ferrers, EssexSalary: £25,000 to £32,000per annum - DOEPermanent positionHours: 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday - overtime available Our established and professional Client is looking to expand their current team.They are a friendly, dedicated and ambitious company, looking for people who take pride in their work and strive to be the best they can be.Picture framing experience would be highly desirable. We know picture framing has a wide range of skills and processes, so if you don’t have experience in all aspects, some on-site training can be undertaken. If you don’t have experience in picture framing, a minimum of 2 years experience as a second-fix carpenteror a bench joiner would be essential. You must also have a proactive work ethic and an eye for fine detail is necessary.Our Client mainly produces conservation standard frames, but they are also expanding into many different areas of the framing trade. Including shirt framing, bespoke framing, photography framing, contract framing and canvas stretching.Responsibilities and daily duties will include:•Measure, cut, and assemble frames according to customer specifications•Cutting glass, mount board, foam board, backing boards etc.•Select appropriate materials and tools for framing projects•Mount artwork using various techniques, including float-mounting•Maintain a clean and organised work areaMachinery and tools you will use include:•Morso•Circular saw cutting machines•Underpinners, various models•Point drivers•CNC mount cutting machinesWork varies from single, one-off pieces, to framing print editions going into the 100’s.
