Job Role: Cover SupervisorLocation: South Shields, Tyne and WearStart Date: ASAPSalary:£80 - £100 per dayContract Type: Full-Time, PermanentGSL Education’s Newcastle branch is seeking for aCover SupervisorinSouth Shieldsto start inimmediately. You will provide cover for absent teachers, delivering pre-planned lessons and managing student behaviour,across the curriculum.Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:

Supervisor classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher absence.
Ensure that pupils are engaging in pre-planned work.
Manage pupil behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment.
Liaise with other staff members in regard to work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources.
Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks.

Cover Supervisor Requirements:

Hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher or be a Graduate considering a career in education.
Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your professional development.
Empathise with young people and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Have the ability to use your own initiative to work flexibly and be able to respond to different situations.
Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for a new one. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
