The role of the Community Engagement Officer seeks to provide reassurance and enhance community relations, by engaging with community groups, buildingtrust and confidence and developing positive relationships, thereby gathering intelligence, identifying emerging trends and resolving issues in respect of victims, locations and offenders to develop sustainable solutions for community issues and underrepresentedgroups.What will I be doingYou will be travelling through Southern Area Command attending a wide range of community groups and organisations, delivering presentations on subjects such as Hate Crime and Serious Youth Violence. The role also involves establishing links with and visitingcommunity organisations and external agencies to promote partnership working and address local issues. The role is classed as Agile Across Station, so whilst B1 Millbank is your base, you will be expected to work across all locations in the area command, regularly linking in withlocal NPT teams in their sectors.Vetting level: Recruitment Vetting (RV)Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed.
