Job Description

SF Recruitment are looking for a Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk for a business based in South Normanton. Reporting into the Financial Controller your main duties will include dealing with the purchase ledger. This role is ideally beingrecruited on a part time basis, preferably working 3 days a week. The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for:

  • Process supplier invoices through the scanning system
  • Check invoices to purchase orders, obtain Director approval if necessary
  • Enter invoices manually where scanning is not an option
  • Production of monthly supplier statement reconciliations for all suppliers
  • Maintenance and daily review of the P/L email inbox, dealing with all emails and ensuring correct treatment of every entry
  • Print or download all property rent invoices from the supplier online portals. Check details are correct to rental agreements and enter invoices to Sage
  • Update and maintain Master Cost Tables with current information from invoices
  • Produce weekly and monthly creditors reports from Sage, for payment
  • Create payment files to upload to the bank for the creditors payment run
  • Allocate all payments against creditors and perform weekly review of unallocated cash
  • Dealing with all supplier queries via telephone and/or email
  • Providing remittances to suppliers with payments details to enable correct allocation by the supplier
  • Cover for other admin tasks and general office duties which may include answering company telephone, welcoming visitors, filing and manager support where required.
The successful candidate will need a minimum of 3 years purchase ledger experience and Sage experience is essential. They will need to cope with multiple sites, within multiple ledgers and be able to deal with various invoice types which are specific to theindustry. Attention to detail, communication, diligence and accuracy are all key in ensuring that all aspects, of every ledger, is always correct and up to date.
