Job Description

Job Title: Credit ManagerJob Type: Permanent, Full Time, Office-basedLocation: South Normanton, DE55Hours: 37.5 (Monday to Friday)Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE)A wonderful opportunity to join for a well-established business in South Normanton managing a team of 2 credit controllers. The successful candidate will be highly motivated able to display extensive knowledge of legal credit control processes.Displaying commercial awareness, applicants will be responsible for the development and coaching of a small team to ensure continuous progress in a result driven environment. Offering a salary of up to £35,000, successful applicants will be reporting directlyto the finance manager. Applicants must have relevant UK experience.Duties:

  • Overseeing the day to day running of the Credit department
  • Lead and develop the Credit control team
  • Minimising credit risk and maximising the timely collection of cash
  • Able to implement and manage current/new credit control processes
  • Support the business in consolidating its UK businesses with merging customer accounts as trading entities combine operations
  • Manage customers on a hold reports and regular reviews of suitability and level of credit limits
  • Amend customers account status’ and proceed to collect any stocks through retention of title agreements and any available legal avenues
  • Highlight risks through reporting to enhance credit control processes and maximise efficiencies
  • Preparation and review of Credit Control KPI metrics monthly and setting actions to achieve targets
  • Point of contact for customers through different avenues of communication
  • Forecasting of short- and medium-term cash collection to contribute to company cashflow forecasts
Person specification:
  • Preferable experience with Navision, SAP or similar systems
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to measure commercial opportunity against risk
  • Commercially aware
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Credit manager role required
