Job Description

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUWestray Recruitment Group are seeking an Electrically biased Maintenance Technician to join our client based in South Tyneside. The company in question are offering a package that consists of;Salary: £41,102 p/aOvertime rate: £26.46 p/hCall out rate: £145.63 for seven days including weekends and stat holidaysHolidays: 32 days annual leave including 7 days in lieu of stat holidays including Christmas day.Other benefits: Health Sure PlanUniform/PPE providedGroup pension plan (7% matched by employer)Life CoverProfit ShareTHE ROLE

  • Carry out planned and reactive work on the plant, equipment, infrastructure, assets and buildings.
  • Diagnose and repair faults of an electrical nature, on electrical and mechanical installations, plant, engineering systems, and equipment in accordance with current regulations and guidance.
  • To record works carried out, to include updating the computerised maintenance management system as required.
  • To carry out completion of IEE installation inspections, tests and surveys including associated reports.
  • Subject to approval by the foreman, plan and manage the working day based upon the job cards issued.
  • To compile lists for the ordering of installation materials and spare parts.
  • To liaise with and provide technical support to contractors as required.
  • Instruct others when required on aspects of own work. Provide advice, instruction and training to Apprentices.
  • Carry mobile phone and participate in the Standby/call-out rota for maintenance services.
THE PERSON
  • Electrical apprenticeship (Full Indentures) City & Guilds
  • BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
  • Experience working in maintenance and installation
  • Able to work standby/call out.
  • Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Full driving licence
