There are 26,000 people currently in CCG, and this figure is growing fast.Whatwill I be doingYou will undertake a key role in supporting a range of colleagues which may include Senior Colleagues and Compliance Caseworkers to carry out their day to day duties. Some of the roles may include supporting the investigation of offences againstthe tax systems.Under the direction of Senior Colleagues and Compliance Caseworkers, you will provide a wide range of admin support duties including accessing relevant IT systems to collate information or data. In some instances, you will be required to workcollaboratively with support staff colleagues to deliver a specific task or activity.The majority of work you will help to support will be desk based, however, there may be some element of travel required if you are required to assist a Senior Colleague orCompliance Caseworker in face to face meetings with the taxpayer at HMRC offices or visiting taxpayers premises.Working PatternsWe currently work 37 hours per week, covering various working arrangements during HMRCs standard operating hours between 7am and8pm, Monday to Saturday. This includes weekends, evenings (up to 8pm) and some bank holidays.Part-time working opportunities (minimum 22 hours per week covering various patterns during our opening times) can be considered but business need will dictate whetheryour request can be accommodated.Part-time hours: The pay and annual leave for the vacancy will be pro-rata for successful part-time positions.ResponsibilitiesYou dont need any existing knowledge or experience of tax in order to apply, but youll have aninterest in admin support and have the following qualities: Strong communication skills - written and verbal, enabling you to effectively document and communicate outcomes. Analytically minded - you will enjoy critical thinking, data and information analysis,research, communication and problem solving. Focused - able to follow processes and guidance ensuring quality standards are adhered to. Eager to learn - capable of developing the required level of skills to enable you to successfully perform your role.
