Job Description

Our client is a family-owned engineering contractor with a history spanning over 60 years in the trade. They are currently looking to expand their works, maintenance, and repair team for commercial contracts across the North East region. This presents anexciting opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer to join their team.Role expectations;

  • Implementation of regular pre planned and reactive maintenance including electrical installations and remedial repairs, fire alarm installation and testing
  • Inspection & Testing on customers electrical installations including Emergency Lighting & Fire Alarms.
  • Fault finding and repairs on all general electrical systems and equipment.
  • Service, fault finding, and remedial repairs as required on all kitchen equipment.
  • Maintenance of all technical and compliance paperwork and records.
  • Fixed Wire Testing.
  • Working on commercial sites including retail, schools and hospitals.
Ideal candidate experience;
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualifications.
  • BS 7671 City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395
  • Full Driving License is required.
  • Catering experience maintenance and installation advantage.
  • Experience working in an electrical testing environment.
  • An understanding of UK Health & Safety Regulations within the workplace
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • JIB card is an advantage.
Role benefits;
  • A basic salary of £42,000 based on a 42.5-hour week.
  • Pension + 28 days holiday allowance (including statutory bank holidays).
