Job Description

About the role Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our Power Transmission & Distribution business based in Middlesbrough.Role Purpose:

  • To ensure delivery of applicable scope of service against defined service measures and provide HR and Payroll Administrative support for the employee lifecycle including but not restricted to joining, contractual changes, cyclical changes and leaving thebusiness;
  • To be the first point of contact for queries in relation to current employees in the organisation providing support and advice to employees and line managers, explaining people related policies and procedures in a timely and effective manner.
What youll be doing On a day to day basis you will:
  • Highly motivated, proactive and practical Administrator.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Honest Reliable and Professional Person.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team.

Who were looking for Personal Qualities and Experience:
  • Excellent administration experience ideally within a Shared Service Centre;
  • Excellent knowledge of HR, payroll and Working Rule Agreements processes including Balfour Beatty terms and conditions;
  • Communicates well both verbally and in writing;
  • Flexible approach to work and is a team player with a track record of successfully prioritising work and managing time effectively;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • Records information accurately.
