Workshop Assistant This is an exciting time to join a manufacturing business, who have full order books and look to invest and train their staff. This role offers the ideal opportunity for someone who would like to learn multiple aspects of manufacturing, you will have eithercompleted a college course, apprenticeship or have a passion for engineering and manufacturing and have some experience in this sector. Start: ASAP Duration: Permanent Location: Soham, Cambridgeshire Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm & Fridays 8am - 4pm Salary: £9.50 - £10.50 per hour Benefits: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, Pension scheme, free tea & coffee, staff canteen, training, and development opportunities Full training will be provided for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: - Working within the Fabrication department and within the production department (when work levels dictate) - Following production drawings - Cutting steel to length using a band saw and Guillotine - Ensuring work is completed accurately and to a high level - Some welding - Assisting in the machine shop - Some manual handling of steel products Skill Requirements - Keen and eager to learn is essential - You must be a hard worker & reliable - Have an interest in engineering and manufacturing - Good communication skills, outgoing and a team player If you have not received a response within 3-5 working days, unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
