Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance (Senior)to join our clients TechnicalTeam based in Barway, CambridgeshireThe company is an incredibly exciting place to work, at the forefront of modern farming and food distribution means it’s fast-paced, stimulating, and rewarding. Theywork with the biggest food retail brands in the UK and Europe and want people who will do what’s right for themand theircustomers.Role Requirements & Responsibilities

  • To ensure the daily, weekly, and monthly QA tasks are completed according to the schedule.
  • Assess product quality, packaging and labelling on intake, during packing and prior to dispatch.
  • Conduct traceability exercises whenever required in a timely manner.
  • Provide feedback to GGL/Production management across all operations.
  • Support GGL Production/Harvest Lead Workers in their roles and provide quality guidance for the Operations Teams.
  • Ensure that all finished goods meet quality standards as laid down in customer specifications and product standards.
  • File and archiving of all documentation, ensuring full accessibility for traceability exercises and supporting other enquiries during visits or audits.
  • Complete shelf-life assessment and analyse data.
  • Ensure that GMP standards are always followed.
    • Candidate Requirements
  • Food Safety L2
  • Some experience in the fresh produce /food sector
  • HACCP trained
  • Good communication and organizational Skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficient use of IT (Microsoft Excel, Word)
  • Self-starter with high initiative
  • Team Player and problem solver
  • Driving license
    • Hours of work: 40 hours/week – 5 days in 7 on a rota.
