Job Description

Project Development ManagerAn exciting new role to join a large and foward thinking business.Role Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Supporting coordination and management of the indoor growing trial facility
  • Support specific research projects within our clients R&D programme to develop solutions to specific issues relating tomembers crops.
  • Ensure all supporting paperwork is completed correctly, along with accurate records being uploaded onto Digital platforms.
  • Keeping all records and filing up-to-date ready for internal use.
  • Work closely with innovative companies to ensure that the best technology is being used to maximise yield, productivity, sustainability and improved flavour and texture taking a long-term strategic view in collaboration with Marketing agents.
  • Develop ideas to drive profitable growth and a competitive point of difference for members and Customers
  • Research/commission technical developments in crop science, translate into practical solutions and disseminate information to Grower members(GrowTainer)
  • Identify and drive improvements in efficiency and quality with our clients member growers.
  • Produce a quarterly report on activity and progress for the company
Product Strategy and Vision
  • Develop the UK Vertical Farming product strategy within the strategic framework to ensure the category contributes to strategic objectives and creates a valuable point of difference.
  • In conjunction with thecommercial team develop and share a broad understanding of the worldwide market and world-class centres of production excellence withgrowers.
  • Coordinate and annually update the 3-year UK product strategy and plan to ensure integration with a wider European growing Strategy.
  • Challenge current practices and create development plans with growers and suppliers to achieve the strategy.
Our clients ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation and plant biology, ideally having run trials previously with the ability to share results with a wide variety of stakeholders.Other attributes are analytically minded, strong communication skills and a pro-active approach.Full job description available on request
