Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within our clientsGroup Finance function in Barway, Ely for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Business Partner on a 6-month FTC basis.This is an incredibly exciting place to work, at the forefront of modern farming means its fast-faced, stimulating and rewarding. Our clientworks with the biggest food retail brands in the UK and Europe and wants people who will do what’s right for themand theircustomers.Reporting in the Group Financial Controller and working predominantly with the Group Finance team, as the FP&A Business Partner you will liaise closely with colleagues across the group and will play an integral role in the creation, communication, analysis and presentation of the Group Business Plan.Duties to include:

  • Manage the budget process for delivery in March 2021:
  • Agree budget assumptions with key stakeholders, including profit targets, ROCE, cash generation, currency exchange rates, interest rates and salary reviews.
  • Design company submission template packs and build a budget model for the group aggregation / consolidation.
  • Develop summary reports with clear analysis and insight into key areas of focus for the 3 future years.
  • In consultation with the Chief Financial Officer and other key stakeholders, design a slide set for the budget day presentations which links back to the group’s strategic objectives.
  • Provide objective challenge to forecast business performance against proposed targets.
  • Build on the group 5-year CAPEX summary and support the investment appraisal process.
  • Create a robust model for quarterly crop & customer reporting, working with the company finance teams to ensure that data is gathered efficiently in a consistent format without a dramatic increase in their workload.
  • Document and review existing Treasury processes and controls with process owners, identify areas of weakness and make recommendations for process and control improvements and produce training documents.
  • Support the team in the development of a finance risk register.
  • Our client’s ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with previous experience working in a Group structure with multiple business units or divisions with, the proven ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Our client is looking for someone who has knowledge and understanding of management and financial accounting processes and systems and isn’t afraid to get stuck into the detail of building new models to support their budget delivery.
