Job Description

Are you looking to work for a company that offers flexible working hours, allowing you to fit your bookkeeping career around your home life but being a part of a friendly team Our client has a great opportunity to join a fun and modern company culture helpingthe team with confident bookkeeping and management accountant tasks within a relaxed office environment.Start: ASAPLocation: Newmarket, SuffolkSalary: £Negotiable depending on your previous experienceHours: MondayFriday 9am5:30pm (flexible working hours available)Duration: PermanentBenefits: 20 days holiday, pension plan, flexible working hours, relaxed open plan office and team social events throughout the year.Have you had experience working within a similar role Your accounting skills and knowledge will help improve the business growth, working alongside an external accountant to discuss accounts and present to the Senior Management team.Duties will include:

  • Overseeing the finance department and doing the accounts for up to 4 companies
  • Handling sales and purchase ledger invoices
  • VAT Preparations and submissions
  • Credit control on all accounts
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Forecasting and cashflow management
  • Month and year end journals
  • Payroll administration on a monthly basis
  • Updating the payroll system with all employee details
  • Handling all new employee documentation and entering onto the system
  • Self assessments and dividends on behalf of the Directors
  • Working with the external accountants on year end
  • Supporting with general office duties as and when required
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Previous experience within a similar level role
  • Quickbooks software experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong bookkeeping skills
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workloads
