Job Description

Anopportunity has arisen for anAdministrator on a fixed-term contract with the potential to go permanent in our clients Despatch Department based in Barway, Cambridgeshire.Our client is looking for an experienced Administrator who ideally has worked within a similar dispatch or distribution background, however this is not essential as training will be provided.The company is an incredibly exciting place to work, at the forefront of modern farming and food distribution means its fast-paced, stimulating, and rewarding. They work with the biggest food retail brands in the UK and Europe and want people who willdo whats right for the company and their customers.Role Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring daily orders are despatched to 100% Customer Service Level unless prior agreement with customer service or transport team
  • Liaising with production, sales, and transport teams when necessary to achieve service level expectations, and advising when insufficient stock for service level expectations
  • Driver booking-in procedure is maintained, and appropriate documentation is completed on arrival.
  • All deliveries are despatched with accurate and correct delivery documentation, and copies of documentation are available in the event of a customer dispute of quantities despatched and received
  • Liaising with Quality Team
  • Assisting with organising and completing cleaning and inspection schedules, advising distribution Leaders when areas have not been completed as per the schedule
  • Ensuring that all relative H&S and Technical policies and procedures are always followed
  • Monitoring daily operational cost performance for Despatch and Reception, advising
  • Distribution Manager when daily cost expectations are not achieved
  • Updating hauliers in event of any collection vehicle not reaching Group Hygiene Standards for collection vehicles, as per Haulier Code of Practice
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role beneficial but not essential
  • JDE system knowledge will be an advantage
  • Microsoft package: Email/Word/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail

  • Flexible
Hours of work:40 hours per week. Monday to Friday 11am-8pm (This is during the training period, once trained the role will move into a shift rota)
