Job Description

Water is essential to daily life, and that means our business is always open.What you will be doingThe Operations Integration Engineer will initially be covering a selection of projects being delivered on the above sites however there may be a requirement to pick up other sites as projects develop and are added to the programme. Travel toother sites for site visits to complete SHE Audits, attend meetings, view proposed installations, or cover absences/vacancies may be required.

  • Facilitating outages, visits, permit requests, information requests, etc between the project and Operations
  • Appreciation of risks to both project delivery and operations and develop mitigating solutions or escalation where appropriate
  • Ensuring the contractor is minimising the impact on operations through regular site visits, audits, and facilitating coordination meetings
  • Facilitating pre-construction workshops and completion of the relevant documentation required for each stage-gate
  • Supporting the design process through reviewing design and challenging non-asset standard proposals and gaining operations buy-in through workshops, site visits, etc
Were looking for you to
  • Have experience in managing sites liaising with Capital Delivery Teams (desirable)
  • Have an appreciation of the Capital Delivery process and forms of contract (desirable)
  • Have an understanding of construction design and management regulations
Skills and experience we are looking for
  • HNC or above in relevant engineering subject or significant experience in a similar role
  • NEBOSH general or construction certificate, SMSTS or IOSH
  • Extensive operational background with sound technical knowledge
  • Appreciation of operational issues/constraints and ability to help develop solutions fitting to the needs
  • Good influencing and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate across all levels of the business with the ability to lead meetings
  • Drivers licence and access to a car for business use
