Job Description

Absolute Engineering Limited are a globally recognised, market leading engineering & manufacturing firm, specialising in the provision of bespoke equipment for the corrugated and flexible packaging/printing industries. Weare currently looking for a Senior CNC Machine Engineer to join the team at Skelmanthorpe, Huddersfield, in order to support our aggressive plans for growth.We anticipate a 12-24 month development plan which will see the successful candidate mentored by the current Production Manager, during which there will be a transfer of knowledge surrounding current/development products, machining procedureand all other aspects of the running of the machine cell.This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly experienced individual whom is looking for the next step in their career, and whom is ready to moveinto a managerial position.The Role:

  • Overseeing and providing technical support to programmers and operators on the factory floor.
  • Cooperating with product designers to provide advice and recommendations in order to drive improvements.
  • Evaluating operational performance, and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Stay updated on cutting-edge manufacturing processes and innovations to drive technological advancement.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of shop floor operations, product characteristics, and business processing requirements.
  • Consolidating and strengthening communication.
  • Planning and development of machining procedures to ensure maximum return on CNC asset’s with plans for post office hour machining required.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that the machining cell is constantly working within the boundaries of current Health & Safety regulations and that all staff are trained in accordance.
Working hours:
  • Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30.
  • Friday 07:30 - 14:00.
  • 40 hours weekly.
  • Overtime available and essential paid at x1.5 over and above standard 40 hours.
Requirements:
  • 3 and 5 Axis CNC machine operating and programming experience (Milling & Turning).
  • Proficiency in manufacturing technology.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing related software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage effectively with diverse teams.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills essential.
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
  • Up to £45K per annum + bonuses
