Job Description

Pay: Kent Range3 Start Date: 22/02/2021 Teaching Assistant required for apupil in KS1 (1:1 position). Are you positive and enthusiasticAre you passionate about working with children and want to work as part of agreat team to ensure that all children achieve their potential in a happy andsafe environment Hours of work: 5 days per week(8:45 am to 3:15 pm with half hour lunch break) We are looking for an enthusiasticlearning support assistant to join our friendly team. The role involves working1:1 with a child with additional needs, this role does not involve working withbehavioural needs. There may be a requirement to assist with some personal careneeds. You will be based in a lovely happy year 1 class with very friendlychildren and supportive colleagues. As a school very are always interested incontinued professional development of our staff and you will have opportunitiesto work closely with our SENCO.   • Work as an effective teamplayer;
  • Be self-motivated;
  • Will effectively promote thevision, aims and positive ethos of the school;

  • Have high expectations ofchildrens achievement and a commitment to inspiring learners;
  • Some support for children overplaytimes and lunchtimes.
  • Do you have these attributes
  • NVQ level 2 or 3 in Child Careand Education/Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a commitment to workingtowards this;
  • Preferably some experience inphonics and interventions for SEN children;
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills;
  • A good standard of maths, Englishand ICT skills;
  • The ability to be flexible andadaptable;
  • Organised and able to workindependently, recording childrens progress where required;
  • Will initiate and participate inplay activities or interventions during lunchtimes, encouraging children toengage.
  • Be prepared to support thechilds physical needs and undergo training in relation to this.
