Incommunities are looking for a new Retirement Housing Officer to join their team. The position will be a 12 month contract covering maternity leave, working 25 hours per week and based in Silsden.The role involves looking after our Retirement Housing schemes and the customers living within them; ensuring they are happy, safe and comfortable in their homes. You will oversee every aspect of the scheme, from monitoring safety and maintenance issues,to letting empty properties and ensuring we are providing a high quality and consistent service to all of our customers.RequirementsThe right candidate will have extensive face to face customer service experience and will have worked with elderley or vulnerable people in previous roles, therefore having an appreciation for their needs and the challenges that may arise. You will be acaring and empathetic person, who strives to go the extra mile to make customers feel valued and comfortable.You will have basic computer skills and have used Microsoft office programmes previously in order to update information on our systems and complete administrative tasks.A background of employment within the housing sector or an understanding of the current issues the sector is facing would be advantageous.A driving license is essential in order to be able to reach other schemes if neccessary where absence cover is needed.Please note a DBS and Medical check will be requested prior to appointment to the role.BenefitsStarting salary of £20,393 rising to £22,074 through annual increments.
