Bookkeeper Circa. £26,500. Keighley Would you be interested in a bookkeeper role with a possible fast track into a no.1 FD role within an SME environment If yes, maybe this is your next role.Austin Maxwell is engaged with 10mil turnover electrical & mechanical engineering company, based in the Keighley area, that are looking for a bookkeeper to work in a supporting capacity to the FD.The role will start off predominantly transactional but will develop into a more all-around role including month end and nominal/general ledger duties as your grow into the position. The current FD is looking to take a step out of the business within thenext 3-5 years, so this position would be next in line for succession planning to take over the finance.The role: You will be overseeing and assisting with the companies accounting and administrations tasks which can include Bank/cash reconciliation, sales and purchase ledgers, subcontract ledger, nominal ledgers, monthly management accounts and liaisons with externalauditors, you will also be assisting in weekly and monthly payroll, HMRC compliance which includes PAYE/CIS/VAT in electronic submissions, you will be dealing with company pension and benefit schemes, companies house compliances, company insurance and fleetmanagement.Experience, knowledge, and skills:Ideally looking for 3-5 years of experience in an all-around industry accounting background. This role would be great for someone who is studying CIMA/ACCA for stepping up to a no.1 role within an SME.
