Job Description

This roleAs a Care & Support Worker you will join our Southend Learning Disabilities Cluster providing care and support in a dignified manner to adults with learning disabilities in their homes as well as within the services. You will be required to work flexiblyto ensure individual needs are met while maximising independence, choice, dignity, privacy and well-being.You will be responsible for support plans and liaising with others that support customers on a day to day basis to remain independent. This includes encouraging customers to be responsible for their own welfare as much as possible and be involved in socialactivities so they are a valuable part of the community.This is a permanent role and you will be required to cover a range of shifts to cover a seven day rota, which will include bank holidays. This can include sleep in shifts (for which there is an additional payment). You will also be required to cover outof staffing hours emergency on call shifts (for which there is an additional payment).What you`ll need to succeedYou will need to have a positive approach to life and want a role where others gain from what you are doing. You will be driven by seeing customers facing, and overcoming, new challenges on a daily basis.To be successful in the role previous experience is not essential, but we are seeking individuals that can provide a caring and supportive service to our customers with dignity.
