Self-Erecting Tower Crane Depot and Field TechnicianJob Type: Full Time, PermanentLocation: Will be based in Shipdham, Thetford, UK, however, they will be required to work nationally and work away from home as and when required.Working Hours: Depot working core hours are, Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4.00pm, with an unpaid lunch break of half an hour. Falcon Power Generation with 400 generators nationwide along with Falcon Freightwho operate a fleet of 27 HGV vehicles with a selection of units supporting artic and rigid HIAB cranes.Due to the continued expansion within the Group, we are seeking a Self-Erecting Tower Crane Depot and Field Technician to join our team. The successful applicant should have previous experience working as a Plant Technician within the Construction Industry. Diagnosing and repairing of complex faults on a range of heavy equipment at our Depot in Norfolk and throughout the country when required.

Qualifications - Self-Erecting Tower Crane Depot and Field Technician:Essential:

NVQ Level 2 Plant Maintenance.
NVQ Level 2 Engineering.

Desirable:

Current Wiring regulations, for example, Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671 (18th edition)

Skills – Self-Erecting Tower Crane Depot and Field Technician:

Fault finding experience.
Problem Solving.
Competence with 3 Phase electrical supplies.
Competence with low voltage AC and DC control circuits and PLC systems.
Understanding of hydraulic systems.
Capable of following manufacturers guidelines and safe systems of work.
Ability to work to exemplary standards as an individual and as part of a team.
Comfortable with working at height.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with the ability to delivery excellent customer service on our projects.
Prepared to work outside in all weather conditions, for which, suitable PPE will be provided.
Must have a flexible approach to working hours.
