Sales Executive (Logistics & Freight), Chertsey Area, Up to £35,000 Base + Uncapped Commission, Lovely company with fantastic culture and people, ASAP StartAbout the Company:This freight and logistics company is going from strength to strength so its a great time to join. If you are looking for a superfriendly organisation where you are really valued both personally and in monetary terms then this would be a great opportunity for you.Overview of the Sales Executive:The primary function of the Sales Executive is to sell customer freight solutions on behalf of the business. The position will involved a high volume of customer interactions, encompassing prospecting, new calling, and closing deals; customer serviceand account management.Duties Include:

  • Responsible for initiating sales calls to prospective or current clients
  • Prospect for leads and perform new-calling to build a pipeline of businesses
  • Supervise accounts daily to retain existing relationships
  • Responsible for price and service negotiation with customers and carriers
  • Responsible for creating sales goals to aid in achieving targets
  • Uphold rapport with clients and prospects
  • Nurture new sales leads to secure business
  • Responsible for offering quotes to current and prospective clients
  • Responsible for supervising shipments until delivery completed to guarantee smooth operations and customer satisfaction
  • Carry out research to identify companies not currently doing business with the organization
  • Build relationships and sell to clients through phone or one-on-one.
The focus of the logistics sales executive is very much on selling logistical solutions to clients as well as prospecting for new business.Taking responsibly for designing strategies to sell the services of the company.Prospecting daily, lead generation through relationship selling processes, and occasional face-to-face client visits.Communicating with customers and carrier contacts to ensure a positive transition of services.Establish and maintain customer relationship, assess client specific needs, and promote the services of the organisation to achieve the sales goals.Evaluate and anticipate clients needs, with the goal of creating a book of business around their interests and creatively selling the services of the organisation to clients and prospects.Developing effective ways to transport customers freight, utilising the organisations services.Negotiating adn pricing of new business.Quoting pricing and negotiating lanes directly with customers, and managing their portfolio to maximise profitability.Taking responsibility for providing an exemplary customer service to all clients.Escalate any issues as needed, and follow through with shipment from end-to-end of the shipment cycle communication, and provide support to clients as needed.Full Account management. Individuals who work in this position are responsible for managing daily operations to ensure optimal service delivery to customersWhats in your DNA
  • Transportation brokerage, logistics or freight sales experience is a very strong advantage to the role
  • Strong track record for delivering successful sales experience in personal selling, telephone sales, and customer service
  • Knowledge of Tradeshow, LTL, and less than truckload; FTLFull Truckload and Air Freight, as well as other supply chain management solutions would be an advantage
  • Computer skills: Solid skills with MS Office software; good experience with sales automation, customer relationship management, and other web based software programs
  • Interpersonal skills: Sociable personality with know how at developing relationships
  • Great communication skills, analytical and a problem solver with the adequate skillset to handle stressful situations while putting the needs of the customer first
  • Time management and multitasking skills: It is not out of place to be on the phone while sending emails or instant messages to co-workers at the same time.
