Job Description

Its an exciting time to join Autosmart. The UKs number 1 supplier to the trade, we have expanded globally into export markets including Ireland, France, Australia, Germany, and the Netherlands, with plans to grow our coverage by 29% in the next 3 years.To support this growth, we have invested £25 million in a fully automated manufacturing facility and are looking for an electrically biased multiskilled maintenance engineer to join our expanding engineering team.Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, fault-finding, reading schematics and PLC work. You will be experienced in mechanical maintenance and be comfortable with repairingand exchanging components such as gearboxes, belts, and bearings in an automated production environment.To be successful in this role you will have experience of:

  • Working in an automated production environment
  • PLC and Scada interrogation
  • 3-phase electrical fault finding and repair
  • Electrical and mechanical maintenance/repair of a wide range of equipment, including bulk handling systems, automated transport systems, and automated filling systems
  • Fault finding and repair of motors, inverters, contactors, and relays
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations such as emergency lighting, PAT testing and fixed wiring
  • ABB robotics maintenance
