Job Description

Alternative Curriculum ManagerHuddersfield, West Yorkshire HD8 8NL£24,263 - £26,266 Required as soon as possibleWe are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Alternative Curriculum Manager. Working in partnership with the Inclusion Team and with colleagues across the school, the Alternative Curriculum Manager will support the Associate Vice Principal andInclusion team with responsibility for "The Bridge" to improve the outcomes for specific students identified with additional needs or barriers to learning. To work on a one to one or small group basis to deliver intervention whilst students are accessing educationand support in The Bridge.The ideal candidate will have:

  • Maths and English to GCSE Grade 4/Grade C or equivalent;
  • Experience of working with children of mixed age ranges, preferably in a school environment;
  • Experience of dealing with sensitive issues and experience of working with students with mental ill health;
  • A love of encouraging, motivating and inspiring young children through the support they give in order to encourage their learning;
  • A commitment to our ethos that all pupils can achieve at Shelley College;
  • Great references demonstrating they are a suitable candidate, safe to work with children.
