Further InformationWe are seeking an administration apprentice to join our team at Seaton Valley Federation of Schools, working within the busy school main offices at Astley Community High School and Whytrig Middle School.Astley Community High School and Whytrig Middle School, are located in Elsdon Avenue in SeatonDelaval, together with Seaton Sluice Middle School they form the Seaton Valley Federation of Schools. The three schools share a single governing body.The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Business Manager - HR, Admin and Partnerships. Tasks will include all aspects of administration generated from the day to day running of the school, which includes answering telephones, photocopying,greeting parents and visitors. You will be approachable and be able to engage with parents, students, staff and members of the public, be friendly,polite and punctual.Within your application form, you should also be able to demonstrate your ability to be proactive, show initiative, and have the desire to develop in the role.You will need to have good literacy and numeracy skills and be a competent IT user to maintain records and design basic documents to a high standard of presentation.This post is for 37 hours per week, working hours will be between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday with half an hour lunch, one day per week will be based out of school for the formal training part of yourapprenticeship.This post attracts 25 days annual leave, rising to 30 days after 5 years service, as well as membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
