Our respected client, a leader in the steel plate processing and fabrications, is currently seeking a Welder to join their team.Initially day shift 7:30am-4pm but to meet business needs it may go to shifts.**Key Responsibilities:**- Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements for planning layout and procedures- Preparing and operating welding equipment- Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety- Inspecting welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations**Requirements:**- Proven experience as a welder- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures- Experience in using electrical or manual tools- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)- Deftness and attention to detail
